History Of The Artefact:
The production date of this Butler's Desk was around the 1920's.
This Butler's Desk is an Antique made of bird's eye maple wood and measures 122 cm tall, 102 cm wide, 43 cm deep. It consists of three large storage drawers visible front; at the top a fourth false drawer folds down to make a desk surface; 2 wooden pull-out drawers extend from (c.r) and (c.l) to support the desk top. Inside the desk area are 2 square drawers, one on the far left and far right and near the top middle (recessed inward) are 2 additional long rectangular drawers.
The Butler's Desk was commonly used in an office or parlour and this Butler's Desk was an important donation to the Parsonage Museum since it would have been commonly used by the ministers of that era.
