Artefact History:
Coffee pot is in an art deco style and was made by Landers, Fray & Clark who became the "Universal " trademark in 1890. For more than a century this company made household products until they were acquired by General Electric Companies house wares division. The coffee percolator was first produced in 1905 and became its third most popular invention.
