History Of The Artefact:
The Gang Plow was designed with two sets of discs or coulters on the beam of the plow to cut the sod, and two plowshares and moldboards to turn over two sods simultaneously. This plow drawn by two or three horses was manufactured by McCotmick Deering, and was widely used in P.E.I. in the early to mid- 1900’s.
