Handkerchief & Scarf Souvenir - PEI Regiment Museum

Artefacts History:
In the 1st and 2nd World War some of the woman would knit or embroider items and sell them to the troops. The troops would use their earned money to buy them and send to home to loved ones.
A silver handkerchief & Scarf that has the PEI WWII Life Horse Badge embroidered into it. Purchased by a solider in Aldershot, England or just outside of it and sent it to his mother. He also purchased the matching scarf with broach at the time. Woman would have also done Christmas cards, greeting cards, pillow cases etc. as souvenirs to send home.
